Getafe C.F wins the Platinum Laurel Award thanks to the partnership with Allcot
On September 24th 2014, Getafe C. F., the Spanish La Liga football team, was awarded the Platinum Laurel Award for being one of the first clubs in Europe to become sustainable through carbon neutral certification.
The award was picked up by David Torres, the ALLCOT Sports Project Manager and Alberto Heras, Director of Marketing of Getafe CF.
The Awards are given for excellence in the areas of business, the arts, culture and philanthropy.
The international jury considered a number of nominations and selected Getafe as a winner due to their pioneering sustainability initiative, developed with ALLCOT.
