Description

The purpose of this project is mitigate GHG emissions and recover effluent related, improving the waste management system practices in the animal feed operations, located in the Mato Grosso do Sul state, central Brazil. The activity it means the construction of a new covered in-ground anaerobic reactor (digester) to produce biogas.

This project expect a significant reduction of GHG emissions, estimate 58,909 tCO2e /year and 412,363 tCO2e over the first 7 years in accreditation phase. Also the sustainable swine production farms, bringing environmental and social benefits, moving from a high-GHG animal waste management system practice to anaerobic digester with capture and combustion of biogas.

Promotes many other benefits besides mitigate, socio-economic and sustainability impacts that are important:

• Removal smells around the areas, improving the communities lives.
• Manage of animal waste ensure a right level of health and environment.
